# Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies to the Moniqo app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by AlefaLab (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") as a Free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

## Information Collection and Use

The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:

* Your device's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address).
* Internet access for cloud sync, authentication, and updates.
* Camera access for scanning receipts (requested at runtime).
* Notification access for optional spending alerts (requested at runtime on Android 13+).
* The pages of the Application that you visit, the time and date of your visit, and the time spent on those pages.
* The operating system you use on your mobile device.

The Application does not gather precise information about the location of your mobile device.

### Receipt Scanning and OCR Processing

The Application uses your device's camera to capture photos of receipts. Text recognition (OCR) is performed entirely on your device using Google ML Kit, supporting multiple scripts including Latin, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Devanagari. Receipt images are processed locally to extract transaction details such as amount, merchant name, and date. Raw receipt images are not uploaded to any external server.

### Automatic Categorization

The Application automatically classifies your transactions into spending categories using on-device rule-based logic with confidence scoring. All categorization happens locally on your device. You can review and correct any automatic categorization, and your corrections are stored locally to improve future suggestions.

### Cloud Sync and Account Data

The Application uses Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore to securely sync your transactions, account profile, and preferences across your devices. Only structured transaction data (amount, merchant, category, date) is synced to the cloud — raw receipt photos remain on your device. You can sign in using email/password or Google Sign-In.

### Smart Insights and Analytics

The Application generates spending insights, trends, and visualizations locally on your device based on your transaction history. These insights are not shared with third parties.

### Data Export

The Application provides full data portability through export features in multiple formats including CSV and PDF. Exported files are saved to your device's storage and can be shared via your preferred sharing method.

## Account Deletion and Data Removal

Users have the right to request the deletion of their account and all associated data at any time. To request account deletion, please send an email to [support@alefalabapp.com](mailto:support@alefalabapp.com) with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We will process your request and permanently delete your personal information, transaction history, and account credentials from our servers within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days).

You can also remove all local data by uninstalling the Application from your device.

## Opt-Out Rights

You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it. Notifications can be disabled at any time through your device settings.

## Data Retention Policy

The Service Provider will retain User Provided data (transactions, account profile, preferences) for as long as you use the Application. If you'd like them to delete data you have provided, please contact them at [support@alefalabapp.com](mailto:support@alefalabapp.com).

## Children

The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. If the Service Provider discovers that a child under 13 has provided personal information, they will immediately delete it.

## Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. The Service Provider will notify you of any changes to the Privacy Policy by updating this page with the new Privacy Policy. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes, as continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
